Start a War 2020 starts with the restraint of whispery vocals over a minimalist drum loop. The restart boils over into the giant release valve of the 2nd half of the verse, with the thunderous applause of distorted bass and powerhouse vocals. Then we are led into the war cry of the chorus that sounds more like a forlorn midnight prayer than a battle cry, but manages to have the effect of both.

"Let's start a war, start a war, it's what we're fighting for that makes it love."

Creatives are incredible people. When they are creating and doing their thing the world is at their finger tips The road opens for them. They have everything they need. And they create gifts for the world to enjoy. When they are not creating though, when they get stuck, the world shuts down. They universe suffers and everything turns gray.

These are the stakes behind the song Start a War 2020.

Even if you're not a creative you can't help but get swept into the torrent of this song, full of equal parts longing and hope. The rally cry is to the restless, the wounded, the war-torn. If you have a pulse, get ready. It's time to start a war.

followup single has street date of june 2022.

Full Moonlight (official music video)

ABOUT THE SONG: Full Moonlight, the second single from Night is Electric, continues the conversation of the first single ("City Without Walls") about vulnerability with an exploration of staying vs. going, escaping vs. committing, wanderlust vs. fidelity. Inside us all are both - the need for consistency AND the desire to escape. Both may be essential to find out who we are. ABOUT THE VIDEO: On one hand, this video tells the story of a couple fighting. One wants to go. To leave. Wanderlust. The other wants to stay. Is angry, but jealous about the other's freedom. She is leaving. He is staying. He is also the narrator. Watching her. Giving up. But not giving up. Heartbroken. Remembers back to his mother's warnings - "Listen. Dream. Don't give up." Frontman and songwriter Chad Van Meter said, "As I meditate on this song (which is part of the point of singing it out loud), I have realized this song is really a conversation going on in my own head. Both characters live within me. I am the scared man who doesn't want to leave. Who's comfort zone is threatened by my other desires to grow, explore, travel and try things. - 'I wan to let you go, I want to give it away'. He (I) idealizes giving up on his dreams. They are too painful. Too uncertain. But he can't shake them. He can't shake the desire to go. To dream. It resolves with the chorus refrain 'There's a full moon ride (symbolic of his longings and dreams) in the full moonlight tonight.'" Full Moonlight was filmed on October 5, 2017 during a full Harvest Moon in Fort Wayne, Indiana and on February 17, 2018 in Lafayette, Indiana.
