15 years later, owning a dream

Just before Christmas, Chad put out a video on his personal Facebook page noting 7,136 CD’s in his garage leftover from the homeless J. era (and homeless Jesus even if any of you have known us back that far). Over $1,000 was donated in just 11 days (amazing!! thanks to everyone who has helped!). You can still give to the cause via Light Brigade Records. The donated money helps get much needed equipment for upcoming live performances in 2022.

It’s impossible to estimate the heart break an artist experiences pouring his or her heart into a project only to see it shelved (literally in this case).

15 years ago on May 2 (2006) we released “Three Seconds to Gaze” around the country (that was already round 2 with record labels).  And the day before we received the devastating news that the label was falling apart.

But what hurt the most was not all that.  It was that people wouldn’t hear the music we had made.  Some heard it, yes.  But it was not nearly what we thought.

And we were broken.

This project still brings up many emotions for me.  Painful ones.  But again it’s only because I know the magic contained herein.  And maybe its dated or this or that.

But something still stands.  But don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself — watch the official music video for the album’s lead single The Flash .
